For more information for regarding a current disaster/event, call 2-1-1. If you would like to receive notifications for disaster resources available, Texans can opt in via the following methods:
- On Calls and Web-Based Chat Sessions: Texans can opt- in to receive disaster notifications when they call or chat with 2-1-1 for information and referral. If the help seeker is contacting 211 TIRN for disaster information and referral, they can ask to opt- in at the end of the call/chat.
- 211Texas.org: The website has a registration for help seekers to opt-in and receive disaster notifications.
